And all the things we never had,
and cold blue stares that hypnotize

I know where all the worms go
I know why blood is red
And all the black and empty spaces drifting through your head
I know where all the tears go when the mask is finally shed

When I was young
The words dripped off like warm, sweet blood from needles pierced within my tongue

I walked alone
Through rotting fields and distant hills and cold and ancient halls of stone
And endless fog and vapors black that chilled me to the bone

Someday in the distance
Of futures vague and vast
I too will be a shadow
Of a flame that burned too fast
And someday I'll awaken
From this dreamless sleep
I too will drift forever
Through dimensions vast and deep

I am one
I am the blackness that blocks out the sun
